Job description

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Using the forecasting system (Quest/ LBShell ) to obtain relevant information regarding delivery requirements.
  • Build relationship with customer engagement team in order to identify areas for improvement.
  • Schedule to fulfill customer requirements based on orders received, forecasted customers in order that
  • customer have no process issues.
  • Prioritize redline and safety sensitive customers.
  • Proactively follow escalation guidelines.

Optimize trips to maximize key performance indicators to take into account.

  • Weekly plan allocations
  • Deliver at Target refill
  • Optimize full loads where applicable
  • Cluster customers to improve efficiencies
  • Optimize larger trailers
  • Optimize efficiencies by using measurement tools available
  • React to changes in resource / customer demand and reoptimize accordingly.
  • Follow agreed work process with regards to trip building / Moby
  • Complete a shift handover for dispatchers.
  • Follow quality procedures in relation to reacting to “Emergency Response”
  • Liaising with contract Hauliers, country distribution managers and other internal
  • departments.
  • Working safely and ensuring good housekeeping. To achieve all relevant safety targets.

By ensuring all incidents, near misses and equipment failures are reported in line with company procedure and objectives.

Education and Requirements

  • Must be able to work on own initiative and collectively as a team.
  • Languages: Dutch – French - English (German is a Plus)
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and proactively respond.
  • Have good geographical knowledge.
  • Experience with transport regulations.
  • Have experience with scheduling / planning.
  • Effectively review own performance to ensure compliance to job requirements.
  • Ability to learn technical and functional material to perform effectively within Our customer – SAP, Quest and LBShell.
  • Working time scheme: in a 24/7 covering team
  • Must have excellent PC skills – and display aptitude to learn. A knowledge of SAP and Logistic background would be an advantage.
  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starting individual.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proficient communication skills, both written and verbal with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate respect and professionalism when interacting with others.
