Assistant Accountant Compilation

Are you an accurate financial specialist who enjoys helping SME entrepreneurs make sense of their numbers? Do you want to work in an engaged team where client contact and advice are key? We are looking for a driven Assistant Accountant Compilation to strengthen our compilation practice.

In this role, you will be responsible for independently compiling annual financial statements and preparing tax returns. You will act as a sounding board for entrepreneurs and contribute ideas to optimize their financial processes.

Your responsibilities

• Independently compiling annual financial statements for a diverse range of SME clients.

• Preparing and reviewing associated tax returns (VAT, income tax, and corporate income tax).

• Assessing and setting up financial administrations and reporting systems for clients.

• Maintaining direct contact with clients for questions, data collection, and alignment.

• Identifying advisory needs and discussing them with the Relationship Manager or Senior Accountant.

What do we ask of you?

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in compilation practice at an accounting firm.

• A completed Higher Professional Education (HBO) degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, or Finance & Control (or studying towards the AA qualification).

• Extensive experience with compilation software and tax return software.

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

• Service-oriented, accurate, and strong in communication.
